Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP) provides you with years and miles of driving security. In fact, MBP protects you from costly auto repairs by securing an extended warranty on your vehicle--affordable protection that meets your needs.

 Eligibility |

Any member with a vehicle
that is less than 5 model years old and less than 60,000 miles will qualify
for protection. If the vehicle is outside this range and is less than 10
model years old and has less than 90,000 miles on the odometer, it will
still qualify for protection as long as the vehicle was purchased within the
last ten days. |

- Trip interruption for breakdowns, requiring overnight repair and occurring more than 100 miles from your home--reimbursement for receipted hotel and restaurant expenses up to $75.00 per day for a maximum of three days
- Towing reimbursement up to $75 per occurrence for receipted roadside services when your vehicle is disabled

A: The manufacturers warranty does offer some protection, but we recommend you take a few minutes to compare the added protection offered by MBP.
Q: My cash flow is tight. Why should I add more insurance?
A: In order to make it easier for you, we can add the premium to your loan so you only make one monthly payment.
Q: I only want my mechanic to
work on my car. Why get Mechanical Breakdown Protection?
A: Knowing who you are dealing with is important when getting your car
repaired. That's why Mercury Insurance Group requires that your mechanic is
certified and gets approval before making repairs. Mechanical Breakdown
Protection provides an additional level of confidence that covered repairs
will be done professionally.
Q: How is Mechanical Breakdown
Protection better than the dealer's service contract?
