Savings
An insured, dividend-paying account (also known as a regular share account) that allows members to earn dividends while permitting immediate access to funds.
Checking
An insured account (also known as a share draft account) that offers
many access options including regular paper checks, ATM, and point
of purchase advantages of the Visa ATM/Check Card. You also
have the added benefit of monthly dividend accrual on average daily balances of at least $500.
By establishing overdraft sources for this account with fee-free
funds transfers, you have the assurance that the funds you need will
be there.
Holiday Club
An insured, dividend-paying account, opened with a $25 minimum, for the purpose of saving for the year-end holiday buying season.
Money Market
A liquid savings account with a low $2,500 minimum balance requirement that earns higher dividends.
Deposits insured along with other funds on deposit to $250,000 by
the NCUA.
Youth
An account that allows members under the age of 18 to receive the benefits of
Credit Union membership with dividends paid on reduced minimum
balances. A custodial account called an UTMA may also be
established for members under the age of 18. These accounts offer
some tax advantages.
Term Savings
Account
Very like a CD, this account allows you to lock in rates for longer terms and receive higher dividends. Bonus rates
and laddered terms are offered for higher initial deposit amounts.
IRA
An Individual Retirement Account can offer
significant tax advantages. Offering various savings terms and
options, it's your choice to establish your account under the
guidelines of a Roth or a Traditional IRA.
Coverdell Education Savings Account
An Education Savings Account lets you save for a beneficiary under age 18. Withdrawals are free from federal tax when used for education expenses
anytime during the span of education from pre-school through college
or trade school, including tuition, room and board, books, supplies and equipment. |
